join us march 21st for our march gallery showcase with rebecca rousseau [3pm-5pm]
rebecca rousseau was born in lexington, kentucky. her family was routinely on the move and she became infected with wanderlust landing in el paso, santa barbara, miami and west of new york city in morristown, new jersey.
as a child in el paso, and later a teacher on the border, rebecca was drawn to the colorful mexican art and brightly colored culture drenched in the desert sun. in other years spent growing up in the rich culture outside of new york city, her easy access to the arts were a fertile ground for becoming the prolific painter she is today.
several turns in the road later, rebecca finds herself teaching painting to adults and teaching in the nc museum of arts and raleigh's artspace summer programs. she teaches at the durham arts council and privately throughout the year. she also paints voraciously in her cameron village studio.
come enjoy hors d'houvres and wine as we celebrate another one of our favorite artists.
