Pete Schreiner is a visual artist, musician, and librarian from Northwest Indiana. He studied photography, fine arts, and art history at Indiana University, Bloomington, where he was heavily involved in the underground DIY art and music scenes. Schreiner created album art and posters for hundreds of gigs, and played many more in indie bands like the Panoply Academy, songs:ohia, Magnolia Electric Co., The Coke Dares, Scout Niblett, and Thousand Arrows. His graphic art and paintings are influenced by nature, humanity, music, pattern, architecture, folk art, and psychedelia. Schreiner’s work investigates organic variation and form, while celebrating structure, color, repetition, tension, and serenity. He’s worked as a librarian in Raleigh since 2016.
